Zbigniew Boniek is the fifth coin of the “Kings of Football” series produced by Mennica Polska S.A. (the Mint of Poland) for issuer the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.
The series of commemorative silver coins was dedicated to the most famous and remarkable football players.
Obverse:
In the central part of the coin there is the logo of the “Kings of Football” series. On the edge of the coin there is an inscription saying “Republic of Armenia” in Armenian (at the top) and English (at the bottom). Under the series logo there is the face value of the coin – 100 drams (inscription in Armenian). Below - the year of issue (2009), in the centre - the emblem of the Republic of Armenia.
Reverse:
In the central part of the coin there is the image of Zbigniew Boniek’s bust. In the upper part there is a semicircular inscription “Zbigniew Boniek”, in the lower one there is his hand signature. In the background there is a ball leaving behind a trail in the colours of a Polish flag.
