ORIGINAL 2012 KOALA DESIGN The reverse design depicts a mature koala and juvenile resting in the fork of a eucalyptus tree and incorporates The Perth Mint’s famous ‘P’ mintmark. AUSTRALIAN LEGAL TENDER Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2012 year-date on the obverse.
