T here are two forms of 99.99% pure gold coins:The traditional Australian Kangaroo Gold Coin Series, available in in five sizes; 1 kilo, 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz.

The Australian Lunar Gold Coin Series II featuring designs drawn from the Chinese Lunar Calendar, available in nine sizes - 10 kilo, 1 kilo, 10oz, 2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz and 1/20oz.

The gold purity of this beautiful coin is 99.9%There is no difference in price between the two types of gold coins; both are priced at a percentage margin over the prevailing gold price. The percentage margin depends on the size of the coin and the volume being purchased.

Platinum Bullion Coin

T here is one platinum coin made by The Perth Mint, the Australian Platypus 1oz Platinum Bullion Coin struck from 1oz of 99.95% pure platinum in bullion quality. Platypuses are unique to Australia and live beside freshwater rivers and lakes, where they create burrows for shelter and protection. The Perth Mint will release no more than 30,000 of these 1oz coins. 2012 edition sold out.

The Australian Koala Silver Coin Series, featuring designs of another iconic Australian marsupial, available in four sizes - 1 kilo, 10oz, 1oz and 1/2oz. There is no difference in price between the three types of silver coins; all are priced at a dollar margin over the prevailing silver price. The dollar margin depends on the size of the coin and the volume being purchased.
