Modern rimless reverse, features a color depiction of microscopic images of the quarantine that virologists call a method of slowing the virus spread through staying at home and away from other people. High relief green with 24K gold plated image, against the contrast black background, shows the virus with its long moving spikes to suggest a virus being contained. Bottom inscription: "CoronaVirus Quarantine 2020".

The obverse has the coat of arms of Chad along with inscriptions for the issuing country "Republique du Tchad" in French, denomination of "5000 Francs CFA", coin specification "1 oz Fine Silver 999" and the mint mark "A".

Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. The name coronavirus is derived from the Latin corona, meaning "crown" or "halo", which refers to the characteristic appearance reminiscent of a crown or a solar corona around the virions (virus particles) when viewed under two-dimensional transmission electron microscopy, due to the surface covering in club-shaped protein spikes.
