2014 Australasian Antarctic Expedition- Mawson
This spectacular 5oz Niue legal tender coin commemorates the centenary of the completion of the 1911-14 Australasian Antarctic Expedition – led by Sir Douglas Mawson. 
 
To be released on the 4th of March, this .999 silver coin features Mawson and the sealing vessel Aurora, the obverse features the AAE expeditioners raising the flag on the completed huts at Commonwealth Bay.
