These gorgeous collector’s coins, minted in 20 grams of pure silver, have been inspired by the mystical and majestic symbols of western astrology. The Zodiac is a circle in the night sky, divided into twelve segments, that follows the path of the sun across the celestial sphere. Each segment contains a constellation of stars, and the series of twelve constellations formed in the circle is called the Zodiac belt. As our planet revolves around the sun, the sun appears to be moving through the Zodiac belt.

Each month, the sun is located in a different part of the belt, and that month corresponds to that particular sign.

Over the ages, specific attributes have been assigned to each of these heavenly symbols, and individuals born under a certain sign are said to possess those attributes in their personality. The position of the moon and planets within the constellation are said to produce specific influences on our lives as well.

The series consists of twelve coins, each representing one of the twelve zodiacal signs. The reverse side of each coin has been finished with detailed and stunning colorization, and showcases a different animal framed in an elegant floral setting. The obverse side contains, in relief, the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II above a delicate floral arrangement with the words Cook Island, the monetary denomination of one dollar and the year date. Every coin, in a limited edition run of only 5000 pieces per design, has been lovingly minted to the highest proof quality.

Individually or as a full collection, these coins evoke the magical spirit of the zodiac and make a great gift for friends or loved ones.

Purchased individually, each coin is protected in a clear acrylic capsule, then placed into a latticed frame. This frame can be displayed individually as a decorative stand, or can be kept inside its own presentation case. Each coin is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with brief information about the coin as well as the coin’s individual serial number.

If purchased as a set, all of the protected coins will be placed in a single, expanded acrylic lattice stand, also with presentation case and twelve individual certificates.
