The Wild Boar is the first coin of the "ATLAS of WILDLIFE", a new series of silver coins dedicated to amazing animals inhabiting our planet. Wild boars (porc senglar) are large, bristly haired pigs that roam the oak forests and shrublands of Europe. Struck from 1 oz silver .999, the coin features a vivid depiction of a wild boar in its natural habitat, the latter embellished with a colored Swarovski crystal. Special minting technique has been employed to reveal stunning details of an artistic image of the animal.

The large collection starts with the set featuring European animals. Presented in a luxury box, the “Atlas of Wildlife: Europe” consists of four coins in total – Wild Boar, Perch, Pond Turtle and Wood Grouse – to be released soon in 2014. The complete collection will comprise 6 sets – one per year, each dedicated to a certain part of the world: Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Africa and Asia.
